Currently, at El Valle International College it is possible to complete Baccalaureate through two exclusive possibilities: the Spanish Baccalaureate, which is adapted to the curriculum required by Spanish law, or the International Baccalaureate: Diploma Programme.
The Baccalaureate stage is part of post-compulsory education; the two possibilities offered by the school include two academic years and are developed in different ways, offering certain flexibility with different paths within each of them.
Spanish Baccalaureate
The SPANISH BACCALAUREATE programme is adapted to current Spanish educational legislation and is developed by covering 5 itineraries in three DIFFERENT WAYS:
- Science and Science Technology.
- Humanities and Social Sciences.
- Arts.
Spanish Baccalaureate is a high quality and demanding pre-university programme in which the student’s efforts must be focused on achieving their personal and intellectual goals in order to access the University course of their choice. Our results in the University entrance exams confirm that we have a 100% pass rate and the second best mark in the province of Alicante.
International Baccalaureate. IB Diploma Programme
The International Baccalaureate (IB) Diploma Programme (DP) is a two-year pre-university course, which culminates in a research project related to one of the subjects studied. It is offered to students who are prepared to give their best in a highly demanding course, in which they develop new skills thanks to the active role they play with regard to their own learning.
This programme ends with international examinations in May of the second year.
The curriculum is organised into six subjects, which correspond to five areas of knowledge (Spanish A, English B, Humanities, Science and Maths). Apart form these subjects, the students have three obligatory core components, which form the central focus of the programme.
The three components are as follows:
- Theory of knowledge.
- Monograph.
- CAS (Creativity, Activity and Service).
Preparation for University Studies
Both programmes provide excellent education that will open the doors to several prestigious universities, both in Spain and in other countries.
